The Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) is a Technical Residential University located in the city of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1962, as Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, the college became affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, in 2000. It was granted the status of "autonomous institute" by the University Grants Commission
in 2011.The college became a university on 1 December 2013 by Act No.
22/2013 of U.P. Govt. But University started functioning from 17
December 2013 after Prof(Dr.) Onkar Singh took over as the first Vice
Chancellor of the University. It was also one of the 127 technical
institutions in India which were the recipients of funding from World
Bank's International Development Association (IDA) in the phase one
(2004-2009) of the Technical Engineering Educational Quality Improvement
Project (TEQIP) - the first World Bank project in Higher education in
India
Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University
Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University or simply Gorakhpur University is located in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The University of Gorakhpur is a teaching and
residential-cum-affiliating University. It is situated at a distance of
about 2 kilometers form the downtown to the east and almost walking
distance from railway station to the south.Its one of the premier state
universities,often known for its excellent way of organizing and
conducting various state level entrance examinations.

It was established in 1969, and is affiliated to Gorakhpur University. Nehru Hospital (700 beds, with an additional 108 beds in Epidemic Ward) is affiliated with the college.

Beer Bahadur Singh Sports College, Gorakhpur is a residential sports college in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, established in 1988.[1] It offers sports training in cricket, football, hockey, wrestling, athletics, badminton, swimming and kabaddi in 6th to 12th standard and with the curriculum of the U.P. Board. It is the 2nd sports college established in Uttar Pradesh after Guru Gobind Singh Sports College of Lucknow and before Etawah's Saifai Sports College.
It was established in 1969, and is affiliated to Gorakhpur University. Nehru Hospital (700 beds, with an additional 108 beds in Epidemic Ward) is affiliated with the college.
